Island Happenings
What to Do on Edisto Island
The abundance of water invites boating in a variety of ways: tidal creeks to catch your dinner of shrimp, crab, or fish; the ocean for surf casting or deep sea fishing. Edisto is bounded on the north and south by the Edisto River with easy access to the Intracoastal Waterway. Enjoy the challenge of golf, swing in a hammock, or relax on the beach with a good book. Observe nature's habitat by birding, or simply beachcomb to discover treasures from the sea. The area's fine restaurants specialize in local seafood of shrimp and fish caught daily or if you prefer you can purchase fresh seafood from one of the local seafood houses and cook at home.
